Zoom Classes: FAQs

Looking for info. on the substance of our Zoom Classes? Check it out here.

What?! More screen time?! We know screen time isn’t generally recommended for this age group, but here’s the difference: YOU! Your teacher will be on the screen, your classmates will be on the screen, but it is truly the interaction of the parent/caregiver with the child that will transform this "screen time" into a meaningful time of making music together!

When do classes start? Our 10-Week Spring Session starts April 13, 2020 and runs through June 15, 2020.

What if we can resume in-person classes partway through Spring Session? We will resume in-person classes as soon as we are able! For those of you whose schedules do not allow for this, we are strongly considering continuing online classes for those who need it for the remainder of the 10-Week Session. Not to worry!

Are classes limited in size? Yes! Just as in a regular Music Together of Decatur class, your class will be limited in size to allow everyone the oppportunity to really connect and build community.

What if I have to miss my regularly scheduled Zoom Class? You are welcome to use our online makeup scheduler to schedule as many makeups as you need over the course of the session, as always.

What does tuition include? Your weekly online, interactive classes for everyone in your household; your CD, digital downloads, and brand-new songbook; bonus videos from Music Together of Decatur teachers; access to videos from our very own Uncle Gerry (from Music Together's beloved recordings); additional resources from Music Together Worldwide.

How much does the package cost?

Tuition for Music Together Online (including songbook and music):

$175 per household*

Grandparents: $115

Our Music Together of Decatur Online classes offer Grandparents (far and near!) a special opportunity to join us! Imagine the joy-- your extended family making music together with you and yours every week! Because we are limiting class size in order to maintain as much of the intimacy as a regular Music Together of Decatur class as possible, Grandparents (assuming they do not reside in your home) will pay what is typically the sibling rate ($115) as each household takes up a "seat" or "box" on the screen.

* We recognize that this health crisis has hit many families financially in ways that were not at all expected. If your family needs tuition assistance for this online session, please email Wendy@MusicTogetherOfDecatur and simply indicate what you can afford to pay. We will reply with a coupon code for you to use when you register. We want to make Music Together with you and yours during this incredibly stressful time. We want to offer you a little relief and a lot of joy.
