We believe that anyone passionate about the benefits of Music Together of Decatur should be able to attend our classes regardless of their financial situation. We strive to make that possible.

Who may benefit from a Music Together of Decatur Scholarship?

Anyone unable to pay full tuition is eligible for a Music Together of Decatur Scholarship, from families taking the class for the first time to families who have been part of the Music Together family for years.

Do I need to divulge personal financial information?

No financial information is requested. If you request a scholarship we take you at your word that you need the assistance. Simply answer the questions on the Scholarship Application and your request will be considered.

How are Music Together of Decatur Scholarships awarded?

Scholarships are awarded as funds are available, at the discretion of Music Together of Decatur's director, in order to give as many families as possible the opportunity to participate in Music Together of Decatur classes. The questions on the Scholarship Application are answered by the applicant and submitted to Music Together of Decatur's director, Wendy Snell, via email or USPS.  Once the application has been processed the available funds are reviewed and scholarship amounts are determined. Every measure is taken to provide opportunities to all applicants, however, sometimes this is fiscally not possible.

May a Music Together of Decatur Scholarship recipient apply for subsequent scholarships?

Yes, a previous recipient is welcome to apply for subsequent scholarships but should request the Scholarship Renewal Application from the director.
